Residential development and construction is why Riverbend Environmental, Inc. was founded. Coming from a family of home-builders, when stormwater regulations were implemented for the construction/development industry in 2001, owner Kim Metcalf began getting calls from family friends in the industry on what these new regulations meant to the homebuilding industry and how to best navigate them. From that beginning, Riverbend Environmental, Inc. has grown into a multi-discipline ecological services and environmental consulting firm, but the residential construction industry is still a primary focus and we have decades of experience helping builders and developers navigate the complicated world of preconstruction activities like wetland delineations, state waters determinations, buffer variance applications, NPDES Construction Stormwater permitting and the GEOS online permitting system for primary, secondary, and tertiary permittees, Erosion, Sedimentation, and Pollution Control Plan design and review, and conducting inspections and discharge sampling as required by the NPDES permit as well as compliance and Best Management Practice (BMP) troubleshooting and alleged violation and enforcement action negotiation and resolution.
